Project Title: Enhanced Advanced Biomedical Research Training for Mozambique – EABRTM
Project number: D43TW010135
Period of Performance: 01/08/2016 – 31/07/2019

Introduction:

EABRTM D43TW010135 is the code for the project named, “Enhanced Advanced Biomedical Research Training for Mozambique” whose aim is to leverage the knowledge of Mozambican physicians and scientists based at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Eduardo Mondlane (UEM), at the Maputo Central Hospital (MCH) and at the Mozambique National Institute of Health (INS), so that these institutions become the foundation of advanced training in biomedical and biosocial research in Mozambique. In fact, this project whose implementation period is from 2015 to 2020, and is funded by the Fogarty International Center, one of 27 institutions that make up the NIH (National Institute of Health) in the US with the mission to support global health, was inspired by the success of the cooperation program between the UEM, UCSD and MEPI, based on which various and relevant research papers were developed.
